Precautions for the use of long-distance optical modules

When use the long-haul optical transceivers , if the power get in modules  over the receiving sensitivity, that will be easy to cause the optical module damaged. Below please check how to use modules correctly.

(1) when the modules over 40km/80km and need to use in a short distance, please consider to use attenuator properly according to the following table.

(2) When a single-mode optical module with a transmission distance of more than 10km ,the receiving power can’t be over saturated power.
